New App Provides Banksy London Tour

iOS app released, allowing users to take a virtual tour of all of the known and surviving London works by Banksy
App developers Gravitywell have just released an exciting new product for Banksy fans in London. ‘Banksy London Tour’ is the follow-up app to the extremely popular ‘Banksy Bristol Tour’, and contains interactive maps to Banksy graffiti locations in London, as well as locally researched and comprehensive details of each artwork.

There are twenty-six locations with 51 photos included, allowing users to take a virtual tour of all of the known and surviving London works by Banksy, with experts at LDNGraffiti having written detailed histories on each piece, a guide to lost works, and LIVE Banksy updates. With a 5 star rating already, and #4 in among the New and Noteworthy, this app is for those ‘big Banksy fans’: ‘most people can’t drive around the UK looking for a Banksy painting’, but this ‘carefully researched and detailed application, chock full of information, lets you learn lots more about this artist’s work, and maybe even become an expert on the subject’. ‘So many pieces have already been lost, painted over or otherwise covered up forever.

Time is of the essence for capturing and viewing what’s left’. Banksy is a UK-based graffiti artist who is famed internationally for his signature stencil street art style, and the mystery surrounding his true identity. He began in Bristol, his home city, and now his art can be seen on buildings all around the world. Banksy's works are often humorous and based on current issues. Some of his works have sold for tens of thousands of pounds. And his artwork sales have attracted Hollywood celebrities too – Christina Aguilera, for example, bought an original of Queen Victoria as a lesbian and two prints for £25,000.

BY THE TIME I GET TO ARIZONA mural project is a collaboration of several artists throughout the country. This mural, as executed by the Momentum Art Team over a period of two days, is located in a Chicago Westside neighborhood. Their goal was to recreate Chuck D's venture into the fine art medium for everyone to see. Chuck D, working in conjunction with Scenefour Art Collective, used this project to focus on the problems associated with ill-conceived immigration policies in Arizona. Watch as Momentum Art completely translates this message on a large scale.
